On the 5th December 2007 Intrascape has taken over the assets of Portland Communications Ltd., including Postaccess.com PortlandX.com and PortlandX.co.uk.
Q: What does this mean to me?
A: That will depend on the type of account you held with Portland, and the type of account you need or want now. Intrascape will honour all x-press, x-tend, x-treme and reseller twelve month contracts held by Portland customers while hosted on the PortlandX cPanel servers until those contracts end. Intrascape is not responsible for any problems or lack of service Portland customers may have experienced prior to the official handover date of 5th December, nor can we enter into any correspondence regarding any such problem.
Intrascape has a solid history of providing first class internet services to business customers since 1998. Our customers' satisfaction comes first and we invest heavily in new technology, when appropriate, to ensure that our infrastructure is kept up-to-date. Our servers are modern and robust, with solid backup facilities, so our customers rarely experience problems or downtime. Portland customers who choose to stay with Intrascape will enjoy a higher level of service in all ways than previously experienced.
Q: I signed up with Portland, how much will it cost me now?
A: If you are in the middle of a three, six or twelve-month contract, and have already paid for your hosting, there is nothing more to pay until your contract expires. That means you could have up to a year to decide if you like us and want to stay with us. In the meantime you can look at the packages we offer and see if there's one that's right for you. But don't worry if there isn't because if you contact us we can discuss a bespoke package to suit your needs.
Q: That's all very well, but what if I don't want to stay with Intrascape?
A: Of course we hope you will want to stay, but we understand that people like to make their own choices so if you want to leave that's fine too. There is a form to fill in (isn't there always?) but we've tried to make it as easy as possible and you can always contact us if you're not sure about something. It does involve work for us, so there is an administration fee, and we cannot refund you for any unused part of your contract.
Q: I have a domain name and I'm on free, Enhanced, Legacy or Premium hosting how will I be affected, my site is already missing?
A: We understand that some weeks ago Portland suffered a catastrophic disk failure and customers on Portland's free hosting service lost data. Sadly we will not be able to reinstate this free service. We can however offer you an alternative low cost solution for £3.25 per month plus VAT.
Q: I have a portland.co.uk, port5.com or 8bit.co.uk sub domain on free hosting how will I be affected, my site is already missing?
A: If your site is missing this will most probably becaused by the disk failure. Since our takeover Intrascape has had numerous requests from customers to reintroduce this service as a reliable and supported hosting plan. Sub domain hosting is available for £2.00 per month plus VAT.

Q: My Domain was with Portland, is it safe?
A: Yes. All domain names have been transferred to Intrascape. If you have renewed your domain on or after the 5th December 2007 by responding to the domain renewal reminder email, and paying the renewal fee by PayPal, your domain is already in the process of renewed. We will email you a confirmation of the renewal within 5 working days. If you do not hear from us in that time please let us know.

sign up for 3 months for a discount of aprox. 11%
sign up for 6 months for a discount of aprox. 33%
sign up for 12 months for a discount of aprox. 44%
Your account will active as soon as you have completed the sign-up process. An email will be sent to you to confirm the sign-up process is complete, this will also contain the information you will need to access your new Intrascape account.
